PROPOSED CADDO PARISH SPORTS COMPLEX

November 3, 2026
On November 3, voters in Caddo Parish will be asked to decide whether or not to approve the issuance of $60 million dollars in general obligation bonds for the construction of a multi-use sports complex.
The approval of these bonds are NOT new taxes or an increase of taxes for Caddo Parish citizens.
This state-of-the-art complex will be inclusive; ensuring people of all ages, skill levels, backgrounds, and physical abilities feel welcome, safe and valued.
This facility will immediately become one of the largest indoor sports multi-use facilities in Caddo Parish and the southern region for sports tourism.
Language on the ballot:
Proposition: “Shall Caddo Parish, Louisiana (the “Parish”), incur debt and issue bonds not exceeding $60,000,000, in one or more series, to run not exceeding 25 years from the date thereof, with interest at a rate not exceeding 7% per annum, for the purpose of constructing a multi-sports complex and other capital improvements, together with acquiring all necessary land, equipment and furnishings, which bonds will be general obligations of the Parish and will be payable from ad valorem taxes to be levied and collected in the manner provided by Article VI, Section 33 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974 and statutory authority supplemental thereto, with no estimated increase in the millage rate to be levied in the first year of issue above the 1.50 mills currently being levied to pay General Obligation Bonds of the Parish?”I-20 Corridor (recommended)
