Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Promotes GOHSEP Damage Reporting Website
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is urging residents to report any storm-related damages through the Louisiana Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) damage assessment website at damage.la.gov.
In light of the recent severe winter weather affecting areas across Caddo Parish, documenting damage is crucial to helping state and federal agencies assess the overall impact on our communities. GOHSEP uses the information submitted via damage.la.gov to determine the need for additional resources and potential disaster assistance.
Residents are encouraged to report any damage to homes, vehicles, and other properties, even if insurance claims have already been submitted. However, please do not report damage to carports, patios, fences, downed trees in yards, power lines, or spoiled food caused by power outages.
Please note that submitting a report does not guarantee financial assistance, but it helps provide a comprehensive understanding of the storm's impact throughout the parish.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office urges all affected residents to take a few moments to complete the online survey at their earliest convenience.
For more information or to report damage, visit www.damage.la.gov.
Citizens are also reminded to exercise caution when traveling through affected areas and to report any ongoing hazards to local authorities. ... See MoreSee Less
